Transfer-Site Operator
Part Time/On Call. Hours will vary. Weekends and Holidays required. Employee may be required to work overtime hours as needed.
Operator tends machines that compress refuse, compress and binds paper, plastics, or other loose materials. Operator also monitor the transfer site to ensure cleanliness, adherence to posted rules and assists members.
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.
Duties include but not limited to the following.
Screen incoming load
Gather and sort recyclables
Control traffic flow
Clean Area
Maintain unusual occurrence log
Enforce rules
Call for bin and recyclable removal
Operate baling machine
Obey all county and state statues regarding transfer sites
Follow all OSHA, county health and safety requirements
Operate forklift and loader
Perform Load Checks
Due to insurance requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record for three (3) years.
Drug/alcohol screening. DMV/background check.
